Framing Top Image of a Story?

Hello,
I just downloaded Curatescape and built my first story. Unfortunately the top picture is framed poorly. Childhood | The Hal Baron Project
The site is about this youngest boy in the middle, so I would rather not have a line across his face. I would also rather his mother’s face not be cut off.

Is there a way to choose how the top image is framed within its container?

If not, would resizing the image help? Or adding a frame to the edges to change the aspect ratio?

Is this image simply the wrong type for a story heading?

The way the image is framed really depends on the viewport (the size of the browser window). Some images work better than others.
