If you are an admin for an app project and you recieve an email stating something like “1 of your apps is affected by Google Play’s target API level requirements,” don’t sweat it. These emails go out each year in August, depending on how recently your Curatescape app was updated.
This notice just means, essentially, that the next app update will need to use the latest Android API (i.e. it must fully support the newest Android devices).
We always keep active/existing apps updated to at least the current version minus one and the codebase is always updated in the summer in anticipation of the annual update requirements, ensuring that new apps can be issued without delay. Existing apps are currently required by Google to use at least the current version minus two.
Always feel free to check in to be sure that your app is ready to go, but generally you can ignore these notices.
